![]() For a few years already several websites such as online stores or beauty communities offer a service to try out clothes or a new hair style. Upload your photo and simply drag the favoured fashion items onto it. Unfortunately the results of those services were never really s pleasing, as picture quality has been generally low. Japanese cosmetics brand Shiseido now developed a real-time Make-up simulator which captures your face on screen while your apply the latest products on - all using high-tech made in Japan. ![]() The Real-Time Make-Up Simulator is a machine that lets people experience make-up virtually. Just by choosing cosmetics from a store, you can check on a monitor how you’ll look if you put the make-up on. When you turn to face the display, a built-in camera with face recognition software detects your eyebrows, eyes, lips, and nose. The software then selects make-up that suits your face. By touching on-screen tags it shows you the instant application results. These tags also provide information about the products, including ingredients and what skin type they are suited to. People can actually try the machine this summer, at the Science Museum’s special exhibition called “The Science of Beauty – Make-Up.” It is also planned to appear in several Shiseido cosmetics stores.
