Touch screen phones are the latest must-have for today's technology lovers. But what if you could control your music player with your eyes or use your hand as a remote? Engineers in Japan are getting creative ideas to develop the must-have electronic gadgets of the future.

A NTT DoCoMo researcher demonstrates a  wristwatch with a vibration sensor which can  detect the wearer's thumb and forefinger tapping together to work as a remote controller for a DVD player at the company's research center in Yokosuka, near Tokyo.

Rolling your eyes to turn up the volume of a portable music player and tapping your fingers to turn on a DVD player are among the experimental technology for 'wearable' gadgets being developed at the mobile carrier. (AP Photo/Katsumi Kasahara)
